Zwift COG Hardware Teardown

A closer look at what makes up the Zwift Cog device with a hardware teardown! I answer a TON of questions that have been asked about the Cog, Virtual Shifting, and bike compatibility. And I also demonstrate is how quickly the Zwift Hub can be switched from a quick-release setup to a 12×142 thru-axle configuration (It’s under 60 seconds!).

  1. Hey Lama

I would really like to purchase a Zwift Hub, in particular with virtual gears and Zwift cog (my wife and I have different cassettes). Any chance you know when we can purchase in Australia, as it seems strange we can’t buy it here?

  2. Hi Shane. Can I replace the zwift cog V2 sprocket with a larger one? I am asking because this would lead to a more accurate response of a smart interactive trainer in Erg mode especially at lower wattage.

    1. Yes. Larger should be fine. Smaller is a problem as the diameter of plastic that braces the metal cog in place is designed specifically for a 14T.

      1. Thanks. A 19T or 21T I guess would be fine in terms of gear ratio. Any shimano sprocket would do or should I get a specific one?
