Very welcome news from a Canyon press release on Nov 4th 2019.
Canyon have officially approved a significant number of bikes for turbo trainer usage. The approved bikes are all Aeroad, Ultimate, Endurace, Grail, Inflite, Speedmax, and Exceed models. There are only two conditions: the trainer must clamp on to the bike’s rear axle, and required accessories supplied by the trainer’s manufacturer (such as special axles) must be used.
What about KICKR CLIMB? Technically speaking is not a trainer, but must be used with one, but it clamps at front axle and thus not satisfy first condition?
One for Canyon to answer. If they’re going to ‘not allow’ something like the Climb they need to specify it. Clearly.
