The ThinkRider PP5 is one of the cheapest spider-based power meters I’ve ever tested. I paid just AU$136 (US$100). On paper it promises ±1% accuracy, ANT+ & Bluetooth, 300-hour battery life, and full left/right balance. That kind of spec at this price should shake up the market. But after deep testing against a trusted baseline, the numbers tell a different story. Is this the budget breakthrough riders have been waiting for, or proof that some corners simply can’t be cut?

So wanted to believe..
How is the clearance to your crank arm? I needed to file 1.5mm from the PP5 housing plastic to clear my Easton EC90 SL.
No clearance issues on the Giant TCR with the cranks used.
Hiya GP,
Please advise what are the options for a MTB requiring 0mm offset on SRAM DUB cranks 3 bolt?
Thanks man, San-E 🙂
Alternate power meter options? SRAM will have something that’ll fit straight on I’m guessing. Alternative there’s a few SPD/XC pedal options on the market that work well (and some that don’t) 🙂
