You have to take the foil off, that’s why there are false alarms. I had it too. I took it off, and it never happened again.
If the foil isn’t the problem, then I managed to catch a defective one. I’ve been using it for over a month and it works perfectly.
The plastic cover on the light was removed as soon as I unboxed this unit. That’s not the issue.
