PCO Explained: Getting More Insight from Your Power Data

A power meter tells you how much power you’re producing, but not how you’re producing it. In this video, I dive into one of the most overlooked Cycling Dynamics metrics that actually shows what your feet are doing on the pedals: Platform Center Offset (PCO). I’ll look at what PCO really measures, how it’s displayed on head units, why chasing “0 mm” is the wrong goal, and where this data actually becomes useful. If you’ve got compatible power-meter pedals already, this is one metric worth revisiting, not to obsess over, but to understand what’s changing when things start to feel off.
